Nudes in Nature



For the Pride Art Route 2026 Jesse Asselman presents the series of paintings Nudes in Nature, which invites the viewer to imagine beyond conventional expectations of the nude and the natural. Mythical beings and fantastical figures beckon the viewer to step into their world, to together break through boundaries of people and nature, dark and light, the erotic and the serene.

The Drawing Room



Oil on canvas, installation, 160cm x 160cm x 230cm, 2025, Dahlewitz.

Presented at Culterim Residency Show #7, Cank, Berlin.

The Drawing Room is the reconstruction of the room in which the performance The Princess took place in the Grachtenmuseum in Amsterdam in the summer of 2025. It is an expression of the imaginative experience of the room as a performer turned into a constellation of paintings. The viewer is invited to explore the installation, where the inner room remains out of physical reach and can only be glimpsed at through the cracks of the pine forest as it were.
